An app designed to maximize the travel experience.

Figma & Framer | Sept.- Dec. 2023

Problem

The issue lies in the multitude of available websites and apps aimed- at providing information for an ideal trip.

Users often find themselves navigating through multiple platforms to gather all the necessary details for their journey. This scattered approach leads to a situation where the user might feel inundated with information, struggling to pinpoint what precisely aligns with their preferences. Conversely, they might encounter instances where critical information for their trip is missing, hindering their planning process.

An app for the classic traveler, seamlessly tailoring trips based on user preferences, providing a highly personalized and dynamic user experience through the integration of AI.

It helps discover the most suitable journey for you, and offers comprehensive details about the site and nearby attractions. The app accompanies you throughout the trip, ready to assist you in every way and even guide you in navigation.

Before diving in, I conducted market research and the conclusions drawn include:

Market analysis

Research

Critical User Information:
The essential information to be conveyed to the user has been identified, recognizing its importance in facilitating a positive user experience. and the way in which information should be presented considering user involvement and ease of understanding.

Comprehensive Information Filters:
Recognizing the importance of broad information filter options to cater to varying user preferences and needs.

Effective Site Marking on Maps:
Understanding the significance of clear and efficient marking of sites on maps for ease of navigation and location identification.

Clarity in Language and Interface:
Emphasizing the importance of simplicity and ease in both language and user interface design for seamless navigation and understanding.

Before diving in, I conducted a thorough market analysis on existing platforms video calls.

Competitor research

In my investigation of the commonly used navigation applications, I observed that the majority of them do not provide navigation while staying on the designated route.

There are apps where the information is not easily accessible; the user needs to search extensively to find the desired information.

They present basic information lacking essential details.

There are apps where the information is not easily accessible; the user needs to search extensively to find the desired information.

In some of them, they appear amateurish and do not provide professional and updated information.

Most apps do not give the user the option to set preferences beyond choosing the travel area, so the user receives results that are not relevant to them.

This inundation of information makes it difficult to make the right choice.

From over 36 survey respondents, I gained insights into how they search for trips, what details they seek, and their pain points.

I noticed that most users don't use an app for trip planning but prefer asking friends, consulting websites, and using maps.

I conducted interviews with users, which sharpened my pain and the need for a solution.

Before my trips, I make sure to assess the suitability of the chosen destination, research the nearby attractions and plan the transportation logistics.

Takeaways

This project proved fascinating as I delved into user research, pinpointing their pain points, analyzing issues, and devising solutions.

Conducting thorough reviews and interviews emerged as a vital tool, allowing me to unearth all user pain points.

Exploring diverse behaviors of apps and websites for problem-solving was also an enjoyable aspect for me.

Added the option to purchase tickets at paid entry points within the app.

Although this application provides a solution for users, the way forward still has more opportunities that emerged during the research
